Website Development Projects
You sure can judge a book by its cover these days. Regardless of what you have to offer, the front page of your brand's online presence can make or break that connection with your target—and ultimately, the sale. In a constantly changing digital world, continuous improvement to website UX—ecommerce or otherwise—is a must-have piece of the puzzle.
Wolfdancer Golf Club
The sheer beauty of the 18-hole course set in the scenic Texas Wilderness could only be captured by a highly-visual, mobile-friendly website. The site redesign consolidated what was an already cluttered navigation, fixed mobile-breakpoints and menu for a better user experience and painted a much clearer messaging hierarchy with direct CTAs to guide golfers to exactly where they wanted to be: on the iconic 12th hole tee, clubs in tow.
My involvement was a combination of strategy and content curation, starting with a communication hierarchy and a detailed site outline to be used as a guide from wireframe to development. I oversaw the development process from start to finish, while also curating best-of photography and handcrafting and finessing SEO-optimized copy, headlines, title tags, meta descriptions and CTAs for the redesigned site.
Ultimately the site redesign garnered a 47% increase in sessions year over year with a 5 fold increase in YOY online bookings.
Oregon Chai
The internationally known chai tea brand is no stranger to digital initiatives, and more importantly, its tech-savvy target expects a seamless experience from social channel or banner ad, all the way to the thank-you page post purchase. The multi-step ecommerce experience was in dire need of a revamp, including an SEO-friendly inbound content strategy to get potential customers in, and major improvements to UX to keep them there and make the sale.
I led the team to create a mobile-friendly home page with responsive design to showcase new product announcements, email signups, recipes, blog posts, social content and exclusive offers. A minimally-invasive (and non-salesy) modal window allowed chai-tea enthusiasts to stay up-to-date on new flavors, while its social friendly content allowed advocates to post beautiful finished-drink photography with adjoining recipes on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook alike.
Lost Pines Art Bazaar
The cultured boutique with small-town charm in the heart of Central Texas was in need of a reskin, updated mobile experience and ecommerce integration for an outdated website. To match it's owners' stylistic expertise while consolidating a Shopify and Shoptique ecommerce experience, handcrafted blog posts, photo gallery and social channels, I led the strategy and development team from site map and wireframe to finished product.
